Body & Nerve Restoration Therapy
$100 first session
$85 follow up sessions
Body and Nerve Restoration is built from the foundation of Bowenwork, a muscle and connective tissue therapy, developed by the late Tom Bowen in Geelong, Australia. Sometimes called the homeopathy of bodywork, Bowen has a direct impact on the autonomic nervous system, stimulating the body to restore itself. A session consists of a series of focused movements in and around the nervous system.  Once a set of moves are completed, a break allows the recipient to integrate the information into the nervous system.  Treatments can last anywhere from 45-90 minutes.  Typically 3 sessions are needed to address structural or functional complaints.  Bowen addresses the body as a whole unit rather than just the presenting symptoms.  It is completely safe and appropriate for everyone, from newborns to the very frail. To get the most from your sessions wear loose-fitting clothing such as sweatpants or shorts and a t-shirt.  It is best to avoid other forms of bodywork (massage, chiropractic or acupuncture) 36 hours before and five days after a treatment.

About Marina

Marina received a B.A. in Psychology & Sociology at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor.  After 14 years of travelling all over the west as a wildland firefighter, she and her family moved to McCall in 2011. Marina become a Massage Therapist in 2008, and enjoys studying a wide variety of massage techniques.  Marina received her 200-hour yoga certification from David Garrigues in 2009. In 2016 Marina’s sister-in-law was struggling to heal chronic neck and shoulder pain.  After trying multiple chiropractors and doctors, she was referred to Bowen therapy by her neurologist.  She received immediate and lasting relief from her pain.  She called Marina and emphatically said “You have GOT to learn Bowen therapy!” Marina began her bodywork practice in McCall in 2011.  She started Bodywork by Marina to bring new techniques to McCall and share the benefits of nerve restoration therapy, which is based on the work of Tom Bowen.  When she is not in the clinic, you can find her outside enjoying the beauty of the McCall area. She enjoys Nordic and Alpine skiing, biking to Payette Lake, and hiking the trails.
